Having started out as a musician with electronic outfit Gerling, producer Burke Reid has since helmed a wide variety of styles, from wordy Dan Kelly pop and ethereal Sarah Blasko ballads to The Drones' stark desperation and Courtney Barnett's slacker laments. If there's a common thread, it's the way Reid brings out the raw essence of a song so that it's direct and uncluttered.
