Toronto jazz-rap quartet BADBADNOTGOOD first gained attention in 2011 when an Odd Future interpretation they uploaded on YouTube caught the attention of Tyler, the Creator. They've since become festival regulars, and are in demand as a backing group and as collaborators. While they can summon woozily cinematic backdrops for Ghostface Killah ("Sour Soul") as easily as they slide into KAYTRANADA's skittering dance production ("WEIGHT OFF"), their walking basslines, evocative keyboard melodies and boom-bap drums can more than hold listeners' attention on their own merits ("Hedron").
