About That Dog.
One of the finest low-profile alt-pop acts of the 1990s, That Dog was the product of impressive musical lineage, featuring singer/guitarist Anna Waronker, the daughter of record exec Lenny Waronker and the sister of renowned drummer Joey Waronker (Beck), as well as Petra and Rachel Haden (violin and bass, respectively), daughters of legendary jazz bassist Charlie Haden. Signing to the DGC label, the Los Angeles-based ensemble won over a respectable following during its three-album run, but then splintered into various other projects, most notably Petra Haden’s solo and collaborative work.
