In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mum would often play artists like Tracy Chapman, Michael Jackson and Prince. I also heard a lot of the Rolling Stones from an early age because they are my dad's favourite band. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Leon Bridges, Coming Home (Deluxe) Michael Jackson, Thriller Tracy Chapman, Tracy Chapman Michael Jackson's thriller album is iconic. The musical arrangements by Quincy Jones are incredible. Leon Bridge's coming home album is beautiful lyrically and has nice instrumentation. Tracy Chapman's self titled album is a folk classic. Tell us why you chose this song. “Gulung” "Gulung" is very special to me be because it is the first song I have released that showcases my mother's Gumbaynggirr language. I know this song will become an educational tool used in my community. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at Dark Mofo festical in Hobart along side my cousin "Maanyung". It was special because we performed songs in our Gumbaynggirr language. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to perform my original songs in front of some audiences in other countries. I am interested to see how my Gumbaynggirr language would be received in other countries.
