About Broken Bells
Broken Bells features James Mercer of The Shins and producer Danger Mouse, aka Brian Burton, who is also a member of Gnarls Barkley. ∙ After meeting at a Danish music festival in 2004, the pair collaborated on a track for the Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse album, Dark Night of the Soul. ∙ The band’s sophomore album, After the Disco, reached No. 1 on iTunes the day it was released. ∙ Their music has soundtracked films (Miss You Already), TV series (Suits), and video games (Guitar Hero Live). ∙ On her album The Soul Sessions Vol. 2, Joss Stone covered “The High Road,” from Broken Bells’ self-titled, Grammy-nominated debut. ∙ Working under the name Danger Mouse, Burton has produced albums by Adele, The Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and U2. ∙ Burton won six Grammy Awards for his work with Adele, The Black Keys, and Gnarls Barkley.
