Parry Gripp

Parry Gripp launched his career as singer/guitarist for nerdcore band Nerfherder. ∙ Since pursuing a solo career, he’s found viral-video fame, with more than 100 songs garnering 250 million views. ∙ His 2006 concept album, For Those About to Shop, We Salute You, is composed of fictitious commercial jingles, which led to a side-career writing jingles for actual national ad campaigns. ∙ Gripp has composed theme songs for such children’s shows as The Super Hero Squad Show, Ben 10: Omniverse, and The 7D. ∙ He won a Daytime Emmy Award (Outstanding Original Song) for “She’s Not Very Nice” from The 7D. ∙ Gripp grew up on an orchid farm, and he and his sister now own the family’s Santa Barbara Orchid Estate in Goleta, CA.
