On his debut album, Greatest Hits Vol. 1, Nova Scotian singer-songwriter Jonah Guimond, aka P’tit Belliveau, made a club track about doing his taxes. His deadpan humour and unique Acadian vernacular give him a singular outlook on life, which he showcases throughout his delightful second release as he traverses all kinds of quirky topics. On the piano ballad “J’aimerais d’avoir un John Deere”, he dreams of earning the world’s respect by owning a tractor made by the titular machinery company. “Bière qui va m’faire penser” is a Casio-tinged country tune about having a beer to help him think after a long day’s work. And on “J’feel comme un alien”, he shares his struggles with social anxiety to a shimmying mix of funk and banjo-pop.
