Teo Macero: The Producers

Teo Macero: The Producers

Jazz producer Teo Macero was arguably the first remixer, cutting multiple live sessions into seamless grooves. While he recorded classics with artists like Charles Mingus and Dave Brubeck, he's best known for his long collaboration with Miles Davis. From the cool '50s through the electric '70s, Macero was almost a co-creator with Davis, editing the trumpeter's jams into thrilling new compositions.
