About Jack Ingram
Jack Ingram creates breezy, slices of life, both simple and intricate, songs instantly familiar enough for the pop crowd, while wry enough for the NPR universe. When the singer-songwriter first descended from Texas in the 1990s, critics adored him and he earned praise from sources no less legendary than Billy Joe Shaver, Steve Earle, and Waylon Jennings, but Nashville record companies were befuddled as to how to market him. However, by the mid-to-late ‘00s, Ingram’s natural penchant for a smooth, hooky song prevailed with the public as Ingram scored a flurry of major country hits, including "Wherever You Are," "Love You," and his re-imagining of Hinder’s "Lips of an Angel."
