With its blast beats exploding into a lightning-quick melodic chorus, the brilliant title track proves that the band can be authentic on both extremes of the emotional spectrum. “Greens Avenue” encompasses tender pop and violent rock, while “Open Letter” shows ferocious anger morphing into ascendant faith. On “Pabst Blue Ribbon on Ice” and “Flowerbomb”, Ahren Stringer’s impassioned vocals entwine with Joel Birch’s scorching howls, whilst “R.I.P. Bon” affirms that love and wrath are two sides of the same coin.
