Finnish Pop: The '90s

Finnish pop charts in the ‘90s mirrored international pop and even boasted a few European crossover hits. Bomfunk MCs' drum and bass smash “Freestyler” was inescapable on music radio and television, while alternative band The Rasmus represented the rockers. Local favourites included the Finnish version of the quintessential ‘90s boy band, XL5, and Aikakone's infectious dance-pop.
