As with the first season of the acclaimed television series Euphoria, Labrinth (the British producer and vocalist born Timothy Lee McKenzie) composed the score for its second, creating a soundtrack that is aptly multicoloured in its moodiness. The tracks here oscillate between evoking the show’s anxious drama and embodying its disorienting aesthetic, often simultaneously. Labrinth shows up as a vocalist generously throughout, as on the brooding “Dracula (Nate Sees Cassie)”, the kaleidoscopic “Skeletons (Lexi Needed a Break)” and the otherworldly “Love Is Complicated (The Angels Sing)”. For good measure, there are also three different versions of the smash single “I’m Tired”—a longer one with only Labrinth and another performed by the character Rue, as well as the originally released duet with Labrinth and Zendaya as a bonus track.
