The 46<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest will be held May 15-18, 2024, at Liberty Park in Memphis, TN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, the largest pork barbecue contest in the world, features the championship categories of Whole Hog, Rib, Shoulder, and the return of the Patio Porkers category. The 2024 contest promises to be fiercely competitive, as teams vie for the World Championship barbecue crown, and the <strong>biggest cash prize purse in the contest\u2019s history totaling over $150,000<\/strong> <strong>in prize money<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Team spaces fill up quickly with legendary pitmasters and competition cooking teams from across the country and around the world. The deadline to apply is February 12, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 300 official Memphis in May-trained and certified judges will roll up their sleeves to determine the best of the pit in 2024, but it\u2019s fingers only \u2013 no knife and fork at the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.
