Sale of Memphis in May Building to Memphis Tourism
Memphis in May recently completed the sale of its Front Street office building to long-time and nearby neighbor Memphis Tourism, allowing Memphis in May to remain in their current offices, while also allowing Memphis Tourism to provide additional office space better suited to the needs of its employees in a post Covid era.
The main headquarters for Memphis Tourism, an 1840’s brick structure currently under renovation with a completion date set for June 2024, will remain at 47 Union Avenue near Front Street. The building at 56 S. Front will remain as the Memphis in May headquarters with the organization maintaining its suite of offices in the building as a tenant, while Memphis Tourism will occupy the remaining square footage.
This move is viewed as a win for both organizations, bolstering the financial resources and ensuring the longevity of Memphis in May in the community, while giving Memphis Tourism the ability to utilize two floors of unused space.
