You already know the power of SolarWinds® Network Performance Monitor (NPM), but in challenging times like this, we want to make sure you have access to our fastest, most scalable, and easiest-to-upgrade version ever.

 

To make upgrading simpler, we’ve developed a new upgrade option to help get you to the latest version of NPM. NPM 2020.2 comes with some major enhancements you can read about here.

 

As an active maintenance customer, you now have the option to use a free temporary license key. This new upgrade method allows you to deploy NPM 2020.2 without compromising your existing data by mirroring your environment while you migrate over. Once you’ve received your key, you’ll have seven months to upgrade to the new version of NPM before your key expires.

 

 

To be eligible for a key, customers must be on active maintenance and on one of the following versions of NPM:

• NPM 10.5
• NPM 10.6
• NPM 10.7
• NPM 11.0
• NPM 11.5

 

 

Doing so offers an easier upgrade experience! By upgrading to NPM 2020.2 using a temporary license key, you bypass the phased upgrade approach and get to parallel build a new deployment of NPM 2020.2. This means you can migrate your data in your own time.
