Man who shoved woman into BART train, killing her, charged

A 49-year-old homeless man, who allegedly shoved a woman into an oncoming BART train from the Powell Street platform this week, was charged with murder and a special circumstance of lying in wait by the San Francisco District Attorney's Office on Wednesday. 

San Francisco police announce full deployment for many weekend events

A million people are expected in the city this weekend. In addition to SF Pride, several other events are happening that are likely to keep first responders busy. In front of the Harvey Milk Plaza at Market Street and Castro, city leaders, including the chief of police, came out to discuss safety for this weekend’s events. 

Major delays all over BART system

There is a major delay system-wide on BART due to emergency track work between West Oakland, 12th Street and Lake Merritt stations, the agency said Sunday evening at 7 p.m.
