Former employee sentenced in stealing from NorCal church

The former administrator was convicted for using the Northern California church's credit cards to make purchases at a hair salon, stores, vacation rental services, and buying VIP concert tickets and repaid the funds by using the church's money, including money from the church's food pantry.

Racist abuse towards Muslim group in San Francisco caught on video

A hateful incident was captured on a holy day for Muslims in San Francisco. A group from a San Francisco mosque was celebrating Eid al-Adha in John McLaren Park on Monday when a man walking two dogs passed by shouting expletives and making threats. There is video of the incident. 

Catholic school can legally fire gay teacher, court finds

On May 8, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that a North Carolina Catholic high school could legally fire gay teacher Lonnie Billard, citing the "ministerial exception" to uphold its religious doctrines.
