Sky On Fire : 1940 is an indie WW2 flight sim !
The game takes place in the early years of the war , from the battle for France to the battle of Britain. 4 nations will be playable : Germany, France, England, and Italy. You can fly different aircraft , including legends such as the Spitfire, Hurricane, B.P. Defiant, Bf 109, Bf 110 Ju 87 , Ju 88 or He 111.
Multicrew makes it possible to control each individual crewmember in your aircraft, you can even let the AI pilot and light up ennemies on your 6 with a rear gun !
Use the mission editor to create your own scenarios, and with a free camera and photo mode, you will be able to save your best pics.
Engage in dogfights with a challenging AI, thanks to the mission editor, you can decide to fight either in a 1v1 or in a huge battle with dozens of airplanes.
This game was made by one person, but is slowly expanding and I'm looking for a steam release soon. You can check the discord server to be aware of new update and chat a bit with me and a lot of passionates.
Don't be fooled by the low-poly style , the game uses realistic physics , airfoil based and as close as possible to the reality !

Why do the aircraft randomly do maneuvers when I am using WASD to turn the aircraft?? Its genuinely getting annoying now.

i just downloaded the game on my laptop and i only know few controls like the landing gears, flaps, first person, bomb bay control, and how to fire the gun. but i dont know how to control the tail gunner or the other crews of the plane pls someone tell me how

Please add more stuff! New planes, tanks, ships and military personnel. Make the NPC planes fight each other to the death and not just fly off in random directions it’s really annoying can’t have a 7v7 fight coz 3 of them are in Iceland

Sky on fire is without doubt my favourite game in the App Store. I play this game for over 2 years now and I don’t get board of it. It’s physics are really stunning and it’s super realistic due to its damage models. I would love some new updates that include new planes like the Blenheim, Beaufighter, Do-17, FW-190, the g series of the 109, the P51 I, the B-17 or the He-100. I know some of those planes didn’t saw action in the Battle of Britain but maybe you could still add them another DLC like the Me-262, I promise I am going to buy it. Another cool feature you could add is a interior light for night missions and some more details on the ground like little valleys or some more streets so you can better estimate the distance to the ground without looking on the high counter.
PS: I love your game and would be really happy if you might add some of my ideas (sorry for my bad English skills)

best game on the AppStore by far. I managed to pay for the workshop but I can’t access it. I’ll pay for it ten times over the game is so good!! I love the physics, how the planes crumble under canon fire, how the pilots can get sniped. I downloaded it on my phone and on my pc I can’t wait to get the full version
You should add ejecting from the plane, could you add more American planes such as the P-51, B-17, B-29, P-38 and you should add more game modes and more threats from the ground and could you make a mini map. thank you
Just FYI, ejection seats weren’t put into widespread use until the late 1940s/1950s, so it would be realistic in any way for those to exist. During that time, bailing out was still the only way to escape an aircraft. Also the P51, B29 and P38 weren’t in operational use during the time period (For example, the Mustang I, the British version of the P51 (remember, it was originally a British order), the first production variant of the P51 didn’t enter operational service until January 1942). I would also ask for more clarification on what you mean by ‘more game modes’ (e.g. other than Mission Creator and/or more short missions?). And for ‘more threats from the ground’ do you mean like searchlights? Anti air was basically the only threat from the ground during this period - SAMs definitely didn’t exist.
But I would agree about a (toggle able) mini map, and would add my own about making Defiants act as they should to utilise their weaponry properly (without forward facing weapons, it’s useless and an easy way to get shot down to fly as if you have forward facing weapons), and should position itself appropriately.
I know B-17, B-29, P-51, and P-38 weren't in service yet but remember the me-262 was introduced to service until April 1944, and also when I said ejection I meant bailing out. When I said more ground threats, I meant more AA guns scattered throughout the map, and I meant more short mission options other than just the 7 that we currently have.

id ask you to you could refill ammo/gas and reapir on the airfield so you enter combat again from being out of gas or ammo or you've been shot down but the pilot is still alive

+++ I see gunner model on fps view and use ADS too.
+ Good AI.
- No refill ammo or repair.
- Pilot has easily dizzy by just turn your plane around.
- The control is more difficult than WT.
