• 🌟 Celebrating the Success of 'BrainBuzz Quiz Jam' - Season 1 🌟

  We are excited to announce the successful completion of the inaugural 'BrainBuzz Quiz Jam,' organized by the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) club of IIM Mumbai, in collaboration with the EBSB club of IIT Bhubaneswar. The quiz, themed "India Through the Ages," offered an engaging exploration of India's business, culture, and heritage. The programme deciphered the knowledge of language, culture, traditions and practices of different Indian states and established a bond of unity and integrity amog participants.

  This event saw enthusiastic participation from over 40 teams across both campuses. Prelim rounds were conducted on August 26, 2024, and the finale was held on August 31, 2024. Following intense preliminary rounds, the competition culminated in an exhilarating online grand finale. Our talented second-year students, Sayan Kr Shaw and Debarghya Kar from IIM Mumbai, and Soumik Debangshi and Akansha Tiwari from IIT Bhubaneshwar served as Quiz Masters, ensuring a seamless and dynamic experience for all participants.

  Hearty congratulations to Maneesha Joshee and Pragati Tripathi for emerging as champions, and to Syed Fahim Ahmed and Sudipto Chakrabarty for securing the runner-up position in the IIM Mumbai round! We also celebrate the grand finale winners, Aditya Upadhyay and Spandan Satpathy from IIT Bhubaneswar, who demonstrated exceptional knowledge and determination. Congratulations as well to Nikhil Kumar Sahu and Shaktisagar Das for being the runners-up in the IIT Bhubaneswar round.

Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

• In observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (August 14th, 2024), IIM Mumbai showcased a Hindi play “Wo Bhi Kya Din They”. Students of Thespians Drama Club- #Akash Gautam, #Abhineet Singh, #Indrajeet Dutta played the amazing main leads. #Debarati Chakraborty, #Ritoja Sen, #Anshika Rai and #Praveen Dharmak effectively handled the backstage operations. They adapted the play originally written by Deepak Khurana and brought to life the stories of pain, loss, and resilience experienced during the partition of India. This play not only reminded us of the largest displacement of human population in the last century but also honored the memories of those who endured unimaginable suffering. Through their powerful enactment, the performers conveyed this day's emotional and historical significance, leaving the audience deeply moved and reflective.

IIM Mumbai celebrated the Independence Day 2024

• Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai celebrated the 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024 at IIM Mumbai Campus in a grand manner. As per the guidelines of Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, IIM Mumbai commemorates the 77th anniversary of India's independence with the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign aiming to make nation-building more of a personal experience for the citizen while highlighting the significance of citizen commitment. IIM Mumbai Sports & Cultural Committee organized various sports and cultural programs ie. Marathon, Patriotic Songs, a short play on Partition Horror Remembrance Day, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, etc.

  The 78th Independence Day celebration started with Campus Marathon at 07:00 AM at Swamy Vivekananda Hall. Flag hoisting ceremony was done by Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai at 9.00 am on the lawn facing Vihar Lake. He presided over the function and inspired the audience by enlightening the importance of Independence Day. He shared his views regarding the freedom struggle and how we all should contribute to nation-building.
