What Are Academic Parent-Teacher Teams?

The Academic Parent-Teacher Teams (APTT) model is grounded in the idea that students can thrive when families and teachers work together as partners to maximize learning beyond the classroom. The model provides opportunities for parents and teachers to collaborate and learn how to have effective data conversations. Teachers meet with families to share and discuss grade-level learning priorities, progress data, tools, and strategies that families can apply at home to reinforce student learning. The APTT model serves as a bridge connecting educators and families to support student academic success and well-being.
