IELTS General Training
IELTS General Training assesses how well you can use English in everyday life. If you’re taking IELTS to apply for PR, this is the right IELTS format for you.
IELTS Academic
If you’re planning to go to school in Canada then migrating, then you’ll first need to take IELTS Academic. IELTS Academic is more challenging as it assesses your English so you’re able to participate in institutions of higher learning.
IELTS Life Skills
IELTS Life Skills is an English test for UK visa applicants who are in the UK and would like to stay there permanently. It is also suitable if you wish to join a family member in the UK or become a British citizen. The test assesses speaking and listening.
IELTS General Training
If you would like to work in an English-speaking environment, you may need to provide IELTS General Training test scores as part of your job application process. The test includes language that is used in both daily life and work-related situations.
IELTS Academic
Some professions require an even higher level of English and therefore will require you to provide IELTS Academic test scores when you apply. This is especially true of professional bodies requiring registration, like nursing or teaching.
