There are two IELTS tests to choose from, depending on your needs – IELTS Academic or IELTS General Training.
The Academic test is usually for entry into university or professional registration. General Training is used for work or migration purposes. The organisation where you plan to work or study sets the requirements. So before you book your test, it is good to check which one is right for you.
You can choose which delivery format you’re more comfortable with – IELTS on paper or IELTS on computer.
If you take IELTS on paper, you answer on paper using a pencil or pen. If you take IELTS on computer, you will type your answers on a keyboard.
If you are planning to take an English test for the UK, you can take IELTS UKVI (UKVI Academic or UKVI General Training) or IELTS Life Skills A1 or B1.
