iConnectHue is the first iOS app being capable of uploading color animations to the Philips Hue bridge, without using any energy while animating – the iPhone can even be turned off!

This feature is highly integrated in both app and for hardware: Every person of a household can see active animations and stop them. Timers created within iConnectHue can turn off animations.
Every delivered animation is free, and one can be created for free. For more animations, there is the brand new animation editor. Not only does it allow unlimited animations – users are even able to upload animation to Hue Tap and Hue Dimmer switches (see video), and use those to start and stop animations, as well as to change the brightness of most of them, everything always synchronized with the app. With this purchase, users are also be able to use animations in widget and on the Apple Watch.

Improved switch editor

The switch editor has been improved and is now even easier to use. By now, it allows to put relative brightness changes on a Philips Hue Tap, too! Also a long requested feature has been added: Sleep timers on Switch buttons.
What is really outstanding is that one can put animations on a switch (with purchased animation editor). This makes iConnectHue the first iOS app being capable of doing that and possibly the only app that allows to do this with user created animations!

Groups improved

Up to 64 groups are supported by now (beginning with firmware 1024156) and hide them – without deletion. This allows to hide groups of other apps that are still required, or allow family members to only use the shown groups.

Location aware main switch

The main switch can now be location aware – this is for users living at multiple locations. It only switches lights where one is – or everywhere, when one is not at home.

More improvements

  • Bridge HomeKit reset – if HomeKit isn’t available because it’s used ‘by another user’ (HomeKit itself is not supported yet though)
  • iConnectHue now features a list of compatible devices to make it easier to decide how to extend the Hue system
  • Improved widget editor and nicer widget
  • Improved support for non-color and color temperature devices
  • Many many detail improvements
