Other Ways to Give
Since its founding in 1919, when Henry and Arabella Huntington signed a deed of trust transferring their San Marino property and their collections to a nonprofit trust, The Huntington has benefited from the thoughtful generosity of individuals who included the institution in their estate plans.
Many companies offer a matching gift program to encourage philanthropy among their employees. By completing a matching gift form (online or paper), you may be able to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift! If you already have your form, mail it to: The Huntington, Attn: Matching Gifts, 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, CA 91108. If you don't find your employer listed, check with your company's Human Resources department to see if your company offers a matching gift program. Email or call 626-405-2290.
Make a gift in honor, memory, or in support of someone. You can also designate what you'd like your gift to support. We will inform the person you specify about your gift while keeping the amount of your donation confidential.
The Collectors' Councils play a critical role in supporting The Huntington's collections, ensuring they will be vibrant for generations to come, and assisting library and art curators in selecting works for acquisition that further enhance the holdings begun by Henry and Arabella Huntington.
You can support Huntington programs and help to build our collections by donating non-monetary gifts of tangible goods or services. While acquisition policies vary among divisions (Library, Art and Botanical), the decision to accept a gift-in-kind for the collections begins with the division's staff. Email Amanda Greenberger or call 626-405-2263.
Stock that has increased in value is one of the most popular assets used for charitable giving, once it has been held for a minimum of a year. Making a gift of securities offers you the chance to help The Huntington while realizing many important benefits for yourself. Contact Lorena Patlán or call 626-405-2296.
