Walker Kessler on Lakers' radar

Buha mentioned Kessler as a name to watch for the Lakers as a potential trade target, and one the team has seemingly “been interested in”: “I think we need more time to see which guys become available,” Buha said. “Walker Kessler is a name that the Lakers have been interested in that would make a lot of sense and would allow you to either start a two-big look or probably more realistically bring him off the bench.”
The Dallas Mavericks are closely monitoring forward Maxi Kleber’s status after he sustained a right hamstring injury during their 114-102 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night. Kleber, who exited midway through the fourth quarter, contributed 2 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists over 16 minutes before being ruled out. The Mavericks listed him as questionable for Monday’s game against the Utah Jazz, with an update expected during head coach Jason Kidd’s pre-game media session.

Lauri Markkanen declined appearing in Netflix's Starting 5

For any NBA fan, new Netflix series, “Starting 5, is a fun watch. If you’re a Utah Jazz fan, you might be interested to know that there was a chance Lauri Markkanen could have been a part of the show. “I assume it was the same show,” Markkanen said earlier this month. “They reached out about doing a Netflix show. Maybe it was a different one, but that’s the only basketball stuff I’ve seen so I assume it was that one.” In the end, Markkanen politely declined.
“I didn’t want to bring extra people into the locker room,” he said. “Yes, it’s fine when it’s going great and you’re having people film you in your car after a game. But what if things go sideways? I just know my personality and it would have been too much. I just wanted to focus on playing basketball and being with our team with no other people around. And then, we’re pretty private with our family life as well, so didn’t want to bring them into it.”
