How to use Netflix on your Panasonic TV or Blu-ray player

Use this article to learn about using Netflix on your Panasonic TV, Blu-ray player, or home theater system.

Netflix is available on many Panasonic devices.

TVs (2019 or newer)

  • Some 2019 and 2020 Panasonic TV models have a Netflix Calibrated Mode so you can watch Netflix in the originally intended picture quality.

  • Some 2020 Panasonic TV models have a Filmmaker Mode that adjusts picture quality settings to preset values.

To turn on Netflix Calibrated Mode or Filmmaker Mode, select the Menu button on the remote, select Picture, and then switch the setting on.

Note:Filmmaker Mode can't be turned on when Netflix Calibrated Mode is on.

To connect your Panasonic Blu-ray player, Smart TV, or home theater system to your Netflix account, make sure you're on the home screen and select the option that best describes your device.

  1. Press the Viera Cast button on the remote.

  2. Select Netflix.

  3. Select Sign In.

    • If you do not see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.

    • If you are not yet a member, set up your membership.

  4. Enter your Netflix email address and password.

  5. Select Sign In.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account. Enjoy!

To start over or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, use the arrow keys on your controller to enter the following sequence:

  • Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up

  • Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.

  1. From the TV home screen, select Network.

  2. Select Internet Content.

  3. Select Netflix.

  4. Select Sign In and follow the directions on the screen.

To start over or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, use the arrow keys on your controller to enter the following sequence:

  • Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up

  • Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.

To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Netflix home screen, then go left to open the menu.

  2. At the bottom, select Get Help > Sign out > Yes.

    Note:If you don't see Get Help, go up and select Settings.

If you can't find Get Help, Settings, or Sign out:

  1. Using your remote, press these buttons in this order: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.

  2. On the menu that appears, select Sign out, Start Over, Reset, or Deactivate.

Netflix is available in Ultra HD on most Panasonic Ultra HD TVs and select Blu-ray players. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:

Netflix is available in Dolby Vision and HDR on select Panasonic TVs and Blu-ray players. To stream in Dolby Vision or HDR, you will need:

  • A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Netflix.

    • If you're using an HDR-capable Blu-ray player, you'll need to connect it to an HDR-capable smart TV via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port.)

  • A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD.

  • A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher.

  • Streaming quality set to Auto or High.
