The iCloud feature is disabled in the Settings app
The Apps using iCloud page in the Settings app

The iCloud Sync is marked as unavailable

The 'iCloud Sync' feature gives you a way to sync the app data on different devices. All devices must be signed with the same Apple ID.

In case syncing of data between devices does not occur and 'Unavailable' appeared in the app’s Settings instead of the function switcher, you should check iCloud and iCloudDrive settings in the Settings app: Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.

The 'iCloudDrive' service should be enabled; Also, the switch opposite MultiTimer should be enabled below in the app list.

There are some important notes about iCloud syncing:

Pro-update

The 'iCloud Sync' feature available in the Pro app update.

iPhone & Apple Watch

The function has no effect on the process of syncing of data between iPhone and Apple Watch. Synchronization of these devices is initially completely different, since the Apple Watch is configured with the iPhone via the Watch app.

Data Exchange

The ‘iCloud Sync’ feature allows you to share your board and timer settings. Implementing real-time synchronization via iCloud is not yet possible, because iCloud takes data and then gives it away according to rules set by Apple.

Alerts & Notifications

iCloud has a limit on the number of notifications that can be sent during app sync - no more than 5 notifications within 2-3 hours.

For this reason, after starting a timer, for example, in the iPad app, it is necessary to run the app on iPhone for synchronization to take place and the user to receive a notification in time, regardless of iCloud restrictions.

Alerts are only coming when app is in the foreground. When it is in the background there is only silent notifications

You should check the following settings:

– Alert and Notification settings in the Settings app: Settings app > Notifications > MultiTimer.

– Sound settings in the MultiTimer settings: MultiTimer > Menu > Settings > Sound settings.

– Alert options in a timer settings: MultiTimer > Timer > Alert > Melody (Voice Alert, Vibration, No Alerting).

Also, be sure the "Don't disturb" function and the "Silent" mode are disabled in the Control Center.

– Focus mode in the Settings app (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212608).

If everything is good, then the following steps may help you:

- Completely close the app.

- Turn off the Internet.

- Reboot your device.

- Launch the app without the Internet connection. After that you can turn on the Internet.

If these methods do not work, reinstall the app again.

Important note:

When your iPhone is muted and the screen is locked, then you will get notifications on the iPhone screen, but without alert sound.

Also, all iPhones and some iPads have a ring / silent switch on the left side of the device (above the volume buttons). Move the switch in way that the switch does not have an orange background color: pushing it towards you will turn off silent mode; pushing it away from you will turn it on.

Do Not Disturb Mode
MultiTimer Alert Style

Interval and stepped timers still play an alert sound when vibrate or no alert is selected

You should check the 'Vibration’ or No alerting’ setting as an alert of the timer when it finishes.
Each of the intervals has its own setting for the end notification sound.

In order for an interval not to play an alert you must configure the sound of the interval alert.

The Alert setting on the main timer settings page refers to the timer's end alert / notification sound.

Important note:

The timer alarm sound will be used as the alert / notification signal for the last interval when the timer end signal is configured.

Using MultiTimer on old iPhone or iPad under iOS/iPadOS 12.5.6
Repeated notifications

Older versions of iOS have a system that is not available in newer versions of iOS.

When you set up a countdown timer with auto repeat, the notification center immediately creates 64 notifications - the maximum number of available notifications.

It takes up to 30 seconds to update the notification center entries.

If you, after stopping the timer, immediately close the application completely, the notification center has no time to update and delete the scheduled notifications.

Therefore, you receive them at a later time.

Tip: Try to send the app to the background after stopping the timer.

Repeated Notification on old iOS and iPadOS
Focus mode to override silent mode

All sound settings are enabled, but the notifications are silent

If all of the app's sound and notification settings are correct, you should make sure that your device does not have No Sound or Do Not Disturb mode enabled.

In Do Not Disturb mode in Silent mode, notifications appear on your device's screen without notification.

Enabled Focus mode is indicated by a crescent-shaped icon in the upper right corner.

In silent mode, the switch on the side of the device is moved to the bottom position and shows a red light.

Tip: You should add the app to the Focus mode exception list.

The app says there is no Internet connection

The application includes some functions that require an Internet connection to work fully.
Such functions include: synchronization with iCloud, icon search, export - import boards, Web.

At times when there are problems with the above functions or the application reports that there is no internet connection, the user should check whether the ‘Background App Refresh Update' and 'Cellular Data' options are enabled in the Settings → MultiTimer app.

After syncing iPhone with iPad via iCloud - all the changes on iPhone disappeared

When such a situation occurs, the problem, as a rule, lies not in the application, but in the devices on which the application is installed. The synchronization function is designed in such a way that when any changes occur in the application on any of the devices with boards and/or timers, this information is sent to iCloud. All other connected devices access iCloud checking that the data is up to date. Each upload to iCloud has a time attribute; it is the time parameter that is important because it determines what is last and up-to-date.

Sometimes it happens that the system time parameters of the devices are inconsistent and it turns out that the update that came from the iPhone has a lagging system time. Thus, the data from the iPad will be considered to be the actual version of the data.

You should check the time settings on both devices.

If there is nothing wrong with your time settings; please send us analytical application logs from your devices so we can figure out what the problem is on your device.

You can send logs using the "Feedback" option in the application settings: side navigation menu ≡ → Settings → Feedback → Add logs (button).

The Pro-news app includes a function to export the boards along with the timers. You can also "update" new boards and timers between Apple devices using AirDrop.

Important note:

The export-import feature does not update existing boards and tools, it adds timer boards to the list of existing ones; therefore, irrelevant timer boards can be deleted.

MultiTimer PRO failed to upgrade with unknown error

Unfortunately developers have zero control over the whole App Store purchases process.

Billing, refunds, authorizations, returns etc are all handled by App Store and or iTunes.

You should run the app; Go into the Settings page in the side navigation Menu - sandwich menu; Then click the MultiTimer PRO item, and tap ‘Restore purchases’ button at the bottom of the MultiTimer PRO page.

Important note:

Make sure the Apple ID you use to make your purchases is correct.

Syncing your iPhone with your Apple Watch: Error loading data on the Apple Watch

Syncing your iPhone with your Apple Watch is initially completely different, as the watch is set up with your iPhone through the Watch app.

Generally, WatchOS prioritizes both the reception/transmission of data and the limits of this information.

System information always comes first, followed by third-party app data.

These steps may help you:

- Delete the app on the Apple Watch.

- Open the Watch app on your iPhone and install the app from it.

- Launch the app on your Apple Watch.

- Launch the app on the iPhone and run a timer.

If you don't see the timer in the app then:

- Press and hold down the side button until you see horizontal sliders.

- Press and hold the Digital Crown. Hold until the app screen closes and the watch face appears.

- Run the application.

- Wait for the boards and timers to be loaded.

Note: Start a timer on the iPhone while having the Watch app open (“loading”).

Delayed Start Feature

Unable to set the timer retroactively with the "Delay" feature

When the timer start time has been missed and you need to start it retroactively, you can do this with the 'Delayed start' function. The timer start time should be set up on the 'Start Date' tab.

However, it happens that the parameter is configured, but the timer doesn't work and doesn't start after you press 'START'. In this case it is necessary to check the 'Autocompletion' function - it must be disabled.

MultiTimer shows 'Wait' time before counting down which 20 to 30 seconds behind

First off, it all depends on how the user starts the timer.

The word "Wait" is displayed if the user starts the timer using the delayed timer start function.

This can happen if there is one timer on the board or if the user uses an enlarged timer and uses the timer control buttons below the timer instead of the control gestures.

The user may press the delayed timer start button instead of the timer start button.

Also, this function can be automatically activated when the system time setting is different on the devices.

So in your case, the time on the device that receives the settings may lag behind the time on the device where the timer is started.

For example, the timer on the parent device was started at 11:00, so its estimated time is 11:00; synchronizing to the timer on another device, the timer settings tell it that it should be started at 11:00:00 and it should already be active, but since the current system time of the child device is 10:59:30 and the timer should be started at 11:00, the delayed start is activated for 30 seconds.

This is done intentionally to ensure that the user gets the correct notification time; if a user with
a 15-minute timer gets a notification 30 seconds earlier, this can be counted as a notification error.

Please make sure the system timer is synced on both devices correctly.

MultiTimer shows a wait label
Autocompletion feature notes

Unable to disable the 'Autocompletion' function in the Countdown Timer settings

Countdown timer

The 'Autocompletion' function cannot be activated or deactivated if the ‘Auto-Repeat' function has been activated in the timer Time settings.

If the 'Autocompletion' function was enabled before the ‘Auto-Repeat' function was activated, the 'Autocompletion' switch will turn grey-green and will not respond to touches.

Having an alarm sound override, even when iPhone's or iPad’s volume is turned down

There is no such feature on iOS and iPadOS.

For sure, you can keep the app in the foreground all the time, because then the app will be at the volume that is set for multimedia, but this is only if your device has the ability to make calls.

When the app is completely closed or in the background, the notification volume is automatically set to the volume the user has set in the device Settings app.

Don't Disturb Mode

Microphone warning on the Voice Alert page

Changed the sound settings to a different sound, but the timers keep ringing with the default ring

The application has different sound settings.

The first sound setting is located directly on the Sound page in the application Settings.

You can get to this page through the side navigation Menu > Settings > Sound settings.

This page specifies global sound settings, that is, settings that apply to the entire application.

So, for example, 'Default' sound is the sound that will be specified in the Alert settings for new timers - timers that have just been added to the board and their settings have not yet been changed.

The second sound setting - Alert - is located directly in the timer settings.

The timers settings can be opened:

1. By long pressing on the timer, if the pop-up contextual menu is disabled.

The setting is enabled/disabled: Menu > Settings > Optional settings: Disable timer pop-up actions

2. Alternatively, click the item "Edit" in the pop-up contextual menu that appears on a long press on the timer. Tapping "Alarm" to adjust the alert style and select a notification sound.

Play:...

By tapping "Play:..." on the "Alarm" page, you can select the following alert styles: Melody, Voice Alert, Vibration, No alerting.

Melody

Clicking the "Melody" item opens the "Sounds" page - a set of available, preset sounds. All sounds are divided into sections, each sound has its own duration, which is indicated under the name of the sound.

Voice Alert

Clicking "Voice Alert" opens a page where you can record any 30-second alert sound. It can be your own speech text, or it can be a different sound that you just like.

To make a record, you should click on the microphone icon. If the microphone icon is not available, you need to go to your device's Settings app > MultiTimer app and turn on the switch located next to Microphone.

As soon as you release the microphone button, a pop-up will appear so that you can give a name to the audio file.

To change the file name or delete it, you should swipe to the leftwards.

The file selected as the alert sound has a blue coded name and is marked with a checkmark.

Vibration

Tapping "Vibration" disables the sound alert and enables only vibration.

Clicking "No alerting" disables all alert styles.

You can check the alert style by tapping the "Play" button ▶︎, which is located in the upper right.

The following features can also be activated on this page:

Warning

By activating the alert function, you will receive 3 beeps before the timer goes off.

Repeat

This function allows you to set additional notifications for 5 minutes.

This way you can specify how many notifications you would like to receive within 5 minutes - two, three or continuous.

Important notes:

Some features only work when the app is running - is in the foreground.

There is no option to add your own sounds to the app - is due to the iOS limitations.

The Interval timer has a setting for both the timer end sound and the start up sound for each interval.

The Stepped timer has a setting for both the timer end sound and the end sound for each interval.

We periodically expand the list of sounds by adding user-recommended tones.

Answering the question: You should go to your timers settings and change their sounds (Alerts settings) directly there, but not in the app Settings > Sound settings.

Voice Alert: If the microphone on the app isn't working

In cases when the application reports that the microphone setting is disabled in the Settings application on the 'Voice Alert' page, make sure that the entire application has access to all necessary system functions.

To do this, go to the Settings application and go to the system Settings page of the MultiTimer application.

There are 2 options on this page, disabling one of them will make the application report that the microphone is disabled: Microphone and Speech Recognition.

The switch next to each item must be enabled.

Important note: You should restart the application for it to work properly.
