It would be really neat if the custom emoji upload (under org. settings > custom emoji) had these features:

  1. Fill the file name as the emoji name in place of the placeholder text.
  2. Support drag and drop upload.
  3. Support adding multiple emoji at once.

"I'm not sure the right model is to try to add those features; better would probably be to rewrite the widget using the reusable widget we already have for uploading avatars/realm icons."

Is the "Custom Emoji Upload Feature" issue (#20387) still open? I’m planning to refactor the widget using Zulip’s existing upload widget—do you have any recommendations or advice on implementing drag-and-drop and multiple file uploads?
