What is the issue?

I recently got a report from someone that, when they attempted to activate an exit node on Unraid, they received a message stating that "Tailscale exit nodes cannot be used on Unraid".

Looking into it, this restriction originated in bc9b9e8 which states "From testing, QNAP, Unraid, and Home Assistant (in addition to Synology) all do not play well with using an exit node". That restricted the ability to select an exit node via the UI, but the CLI could still be used. The CLI was blocked via d32d742.

Can I get more info on what resulted in this being considered unsupported on Unraid? I'd like to investigate removing this restriction.

I'm also facing this issue, and a fix would be very much appreciated.

Any updates on this? Rug-pulling a previously functional feature from Unraid users without a replacement timeline is not cool.
