Purpose and Motivation
beatsPerBarhelp explains: "Setting must be done from within the scheduling thread" -- this is less than clear. (E.g., a user recently asked if it was necessary toschedorschedAbs-- it isn't -- but it requires a fair degree of advance knowledge to be sure from reading this.)Added further explanation and examples.
