A way to set the size of the IDE window in code (so it can be placed in a startup file) or set in the preferences would be great.

Also - since I use multiple servers I need to add server windows - and having a way to place those server windows (which I do in startup.scd) and move the IDE out of their way is something I need to rely on.

A session saves the position and size of the main window. Try saving and reopening a session and see if it does what you'd like.

A session is portable - it is stored in the userConfigDir/SuperCollider/sessions/ as a YAML file.
