order everything alphabetically #201
Conversation
Duplicate of #112. Not interested as nobody would follow it and I would have to correct the ordering after every PR. Also don't see the benefit as this list is about discovering new stuff, not looking up, so ordering doesn't really matter. |
so you prefer your lists to be random or is there actually an order I can't grasp? Why is the "Miscellaneous" section ordered alphabetically? Why don't you just add the requirement to make changes alphabetically to the contribution guidelines? It'd be easier to add new stuff when you have alphabetical ordering, since you wouldn't have to search. |
The order is by added, as new entries is added at the end.
Because I caved on that one. Probably going to randomize it so people don't get the wrong idea.
If contributing guidelines worked I would have. As I said, the main reason I don't do this is that nobody reads or follows the guidelines and the result is a lot of extra work for me. |
Please state that in the contributing guidelines.
I do. I believe a lot of others do, too.
and if I volunteer? ;) |
Some found it confusing that only this one was alphabetically sorted. #201
I believe you, but I handle about 10 pull requests a day on average about 5% has read it.
Thanks for offering, but I honestly don't think it's worth the overhead. I don't get why it's so important. Again, this list is for discovering new lists, not look up something. |

I ordered the TOC and all categories alphabetically, which is better to read.
No other changes/additions.
Will create separate PR for merging my n1trux/awesome-awesomeness repo, because yours seems more frequented ;)
