Summary

The Growth team has some upcoming experiments that will let users create referral URLs to send to friends and family to recommend using Monitor.

Example (Exact language TBD)

Type Link Redirect
General /refer/1/ /
Breach Result /refer/1/?breach=Quidd /?breach=Quidd

During the redirect it would do the following:

  • Log a Google Analytics event
  • Set UTM params

This allows the user to share a easily-readable URL while allows us to properly attribute traffic from it. The ID will change based on location and branch of the experiment. (Also used in setting UTM params)
