Description

Does not create or drop ecc collections when using QEv2.

What is changing?

  • No longer creates ecc collection during create collection.
  • No longer drops ecc collection during drop.
  • Throws an error when server < 7.0 when encrypted fields supplied.
  • Syncs to NODE-5195 de-dup FLE tests.
Is there new documentation needed for these changes?

None

What is the motivation for this change?

NODE-5004/NODE-5195

Backported: #3678

Double check the following

  • Ran npm run check:lint script
  • Self-review completed using the steps outlined here
  • PR title follows the correct format: type(NODE-xxxx)[!]: description
    • Example: feat(NODE-1234)!: rewriting everything in coffeescript
  • Changes are covered by tests
  • New TODOs have a related JIRA ticket
