Make sure you select the Script project and not the Mixin project when starting your new script.

Unfortunately, given the large change in how MDK works, I cannot recommend trying to update a project from MDK to MDK². I strongly recommend to create a new MDK² project and copying your code files (and thumbnail) over from the old project to prevent issues from occurring.
