This bug is from a build from latest sources today, 31 Oct 2012:

If no ~/.ledgerrc file exists, then Ledger seg faults after giving an error. IMHO there are two problems here: one, that the error implies that having a ~/.ledgerrc is required; two, that there's a seg fault after the error.

Transcript (followed by GDB trace):

$ date

$ ls -lh ~/.ledgerrc
