Don't take the focus into account when setting certain menuitem's enabled / disabled state.

Type of change

  • ✅ Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)

Description and Context

Fixes #3770
I did not see any need to have the hasFocus condition. Without it, the application behaves intuitively: toolbar buttons are only disabled if an entry is visually unselected.

Testing strategy

  • Manual test

The reason this is in place is to prevent ctrl+c from copying password when you really mean to copy some line of text.

I tried this, the only text that I am unable to copy (because the password gets copied as you said) is the Notes field on the Entry Preview panel. All the other fields correctly "override" the copy action.

If you think this is the correct approach to solve the original issue, I will take another look at the Notes field problem and try to fix it.

The notes field was the precise reason for this change

I fiddled around with this for a while, but didn't find any way around it. My guess it that the QTextEdit does not handle the CTRL+C event the same way as QLineEdit does. The only thing I can think of is to replace all QTextEdits with QLineEdits, but presumably that will cause other issues.

Do you have any further ideas I can follow up on?

Disclaimer: I'm very inexperienced with QT, so I might be missing obvious things.

I'll have to think about this.

* Support copy shortcut when in QTextEdit to prevent inadvertently copying password when interacting with those elements.

Sorry for the big delay on this, I figured out an elegant way to overcome the failure of Qt to trap the copy sequence when interacting with a QTextEdit.
