• Returning a JSX tag that is adjacent to another JSX tag, as opposed to returning a root JSX tag or fragment, is invalid JSX syntax. Babel throws an error on this, and now the CoffeeScript compiler does too. Fix #5046: Adjacent JSX #5049
• Invalid indentation inside a JSX interpolation (the middle of <tag>{ ... }</tag>) now throws an error. fix JSX expression indentation bug #5056
• The browser compiler, used in Try CoffeeScript and similar web-based CoffeeScript editors, now evaluates code in a global scope rather than the scope of the browser compiler. This improves performance of code executed via the browser compiler. Fix #1832: Browser compiler should run code using globally-scoped eval #5047
• Syntax cleanup: it is now possible for an implicit function call to take a body-less class as an argument, and ?:: now behaves identically to :: with regard to implying a line continuation. Allow implicit call with class with no body #5053, Normalize :: syntax #5048

Other changes that don’t rise to the level of changelog newsworthiness:

• Refactor of how the changelog Markdown files are structured and assembled, to make the changelog organized symmetrically as the other sections so that it can be indexed easily for our upcoming docs search feature. I also standardized the heading tags (h2 and h3 as appropriate). Docs headings and changelog refactor #5067
• Refactor of the code that attaches comments to tokens after parsing, to make it clearer what’s going on; and cleanup of the text of various comments. Lexer, helpers and comments cleanup #5063.
• Update the docs to use https://coffeescript.org.
• Fix the ASCII art of the README so that it doesn’t break on npmjs.org (hopefully).
