Unfortunately I have only a scanned 1980 edition at hand, and am unable to check if the first stress mark in шё́лк-сыре́ц is in the original text of the 2010 edition. Would you help me with that?

It's not immediately obvious from the following snapshot of the 2010 edition what stress symbol is used over Ё in шёлк-сырец:

It doesn't look like a plain ё to me either.

However, шёлк-сырец is followed by хлопок-сырец which has a distinct acute accent on хло́пок:

I'm not saying the two should have identical stress. Also, it's not unusual for ё to bear a grave (secondary) accent: трё̀хгла́вый.

Both шёлк-сырец and хлопок-сырец are missing from my 1987 edition.

My reading would be: шё́лк-сыре́ц. No change is necessary.

Жи́ль Бл́аз is clearly annotated with two acute accents:
