This is now implemented and ready for testing in master.

It makes an assumption that the date/timestamp field you have in elasticsearch is in UTC format. Was the only way I could get date range filtering to really work. I had a problem with creating events in anthracite UI (it would not store the event with an UTC timestamp). I am not sure if this requirement will be a problem or if I need to create a setting to get it to work in local time as well.

Configuration:
In the process of working on this I unified the datasource abstraction (all datasources can (if the support it) handle metrics, annotations, and dashboard save/load/search).

If you want to use another elasticsearch server for annotations than you use for dashboard storage you can specify multiple (only one can have the grafanaDB:true property, that flags it for use has dashboard storage).

You can share the the same datasource for annotations and dashboard storage (the index property is ignored an the one specified in the annotation is always used).

The changes in config is backwards compatible, so if you have specified elasticsearch property and grafana_index, they will be converted into a datasource. I will try to document this more before 1.7 release.
