Updates the
olympics
,nypd
andmagic
examples to use pre-built Arrow/Feather encoded archives hosted on GitHub Pages, rather than stand-alone repos. This will make it easier to keep these examples current as Perspective evolves.magic
example has been streamlined, but is also much faster and uses in-engine calculation for most functionality. Decks are calculated from the deck library, which is browsable, and row-rendering has been refined to support highlights in the largetext
field in this dataset.olympics
examples dataset has new columns likeheight
andweight
, plus is much larger, growing from 8,000 to 270,000 rows, as this dataset (now provided by Kaggle) goes back over a century.nypd
is now sourced from an up-to-date GitHub repo containing more recent years and better-categorized data. Some views have been re-defined to take advantage of expression improvements.
