I'm confused. ORM doesn't support MariaDB as far as I know..

I might be wrong about this, but as long as it supports MySQL it should be able to do most if not all of MariaDB

For some reason I assumed MariaDB was another NoSQL thing. You're right, it's just MySQL with a different name and should work perfectly.
