Continuing from #17587, the script is only running in Linux because Windows does not have Nix for the diff dependency.
We get
ERROR: D:/a/1/s/compatibility/BUILD:53:12: no such package '@diffutils_nix//': BUILD file not found in directory '' of external repository @diffutils_nix. Add a BUILD file to a directory to mark it as a package. and referenced by '//:test-daml-version-and-install-0.0.0'
Gary's recommendation
We use something called scoop to define tools on Windows; I'm a bit busy with something else atm but I4ll take a closer look a bit later this afternoon if that's ok
If you want to try it out yourself the gist of it is you need to add a manifest here: https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/tree/main/dev-env/windows/manifests
