Prerequisites

  • I searched for any existing report about this website issue to avoid opening a duplicate.
  • I can reproduce this website issue in a new, unmodified web browser profile with Dark Reader installed as the only extension.

Website Issue Description

Most of the web site does not use a dark mode. If you toggle Dark Reader on/off the site is displalyed with a dark mode as expected (and as I've been using it for years with Dark Reader). If you reload the page the broken condition occurs again.

Website Address

Steps To Reproduce

Load https://www.weather.gov/dvn/weatherstory and observe page does not use dark mode correctly.

@alexanderby here is the regression of the last firefox performance fix...

For the first time the page is loading Dark Reader is not generating inverted blob for background. Making Dark Reader off and back on fixes that and page is displayed in dark.

In Chromium it works fine without any touches.

I will leave it open as this page is not so easy to just remove background image or invert some parts of the page.
