The datedness of the install videos have been touched on in several other open issues, and I say that with no shade to the author @sstevens2 who graciously took time to create them originally. As the videos were also embedded in my repository, I had reason to reach out and see if she had revised them or had others she was using in their place. As much as we both love a good install video, I think we were in agreement that neither of us had the bandwidth to keep up with the inevitable need for changes as the various vendors move things (datacarpentry/python-ecology-lesson#587 (comment)) Rather than jumping straight to removing them with a PR, I thought I would raise this as an issue in case anyone strongly wants to put in a PR to replace them in the workshop template. If no one responds in a timely manner, I would be happy to put in a PR to try to remove them.
