Subject of the issue/enhancement/features

The latest version of the framework with "blank" components does not play well with the "Trickle" extension.

Your environment

Framework v5.0.0
Chrome 78
Windows 10

Steps to reproduce

Add Trickle to your course, and enable it on the article and blocks. Any block with a blank component and Trickle enabled will stop any progress.
If you set the blank component to be optional, then you can continue, but there will be no "Continue" button added by Trickle for that particular block

Expected behaviour

A Continue button should show at the bottom for any blocks with a blank component and Trickle enabled.

Actual behaviour

Nothing shows and progress is blocked at the block with the blank component.
