There a few references to Freenode or IRC in the docs. We should remove these or switch them over to Matrix. I just announced the move here: https://groups.google.com/g/dataverse-community/c/KU0FDNb8ckM/m/bO8ZXv2WAQAJ

Here are some references I found:

For https://dataverse.org/contact we should replace http://irclog.iq.harvard.edu/dataverse/today with https://view.matrix.org/alias/%23dataverse:matrix.org or otherwise reword what's written there. Here's a screenshot:

For everyone's information, the two websites that were being hosted on a VMware VM (RT #301183) are now hosted on GitHub Pages:

I don't expect the irclog site to change much since it's just an archive so that links don't go dark. We can certainly make improvements to chat.dataverse.org if we want. It's just a single page with links to the Matrix logs and a link to join the chat. It looks like this:

Even though we're on Matrix now, we don't explictly mention this. We
just point people to https://chat.dataverse.org

I made pull request #7929 for the docs.

For the contact page, I just changed the link to https://view.matrix.org/alias/%23dataverse:matrix.org (instead of irclog.iq).
