+1 on this, maybe even using the Alarms & Reminders Android API.

Really hope this eventually is implemented. This is a huge thing stopping me from using it, unfortunately. Seems like a super helpful app, but no reminders is basically the same as just checking my bank statements/account regularly, unfortunately. Keep up the great work regardless as it seems very helpful to others and it looks like it's very well designed!

As I see a lot of upvotes on this issue, this will be the feature I'll implement next.
I'm currently thinking of defining a general setting for all expenses on which you can choose the following:

• amount of days to be notified before next recurrence
• time of day at which the notification should be shown

I'm also thinking of a toggle for each expense allowing you to choose whether you want to receive a notification for this specific expense or not.

Is there anything else that you would like to see for this feature?
I do not want to overcomplicate it for the first version as this isn't a straight forward issue to implement.

I personally think these are a great starting point. I don't believe that there is anything else that I could think of for these besides just hoping my Scamsuck doesn't kill the notifications every couple of days like it does with all my other sideloaded apps for whatever reason. But that seems like an issue with my phone and not the devs. 😅
