Brief description of your issue

Since the latest version, Windows cannot restart of shutdown anymore because SI hangs (shows a modal message box when quitting).

Steps to reproduce (optional)

1. Make sure SI is running
2. Try to restart or shutdown your computer
3. Windows hangs

If you try to quit SI manually, you can see what the reason is. SI blocks the exit with a modal message box:

I noticed that when I select the 'shield' icon ('show details for all processes) to elevate the privileges of SI, then SI can properly close/exit. But, this has to be done over and over again (basically every single time you start your computer).

Expected behavior (optional)

1. Never block while exiting an application
2. Only save settings when the user actually makes changes. Why would you save settings on exit?
