Hi @jaws777, thank you for reporting this. The extension is definitely not malicious. We have lots of users and almost nobody is reporting this kind of slow downs.
This may indicate that it may be something with your system or configuration. Or a combination of extensions in your system. Or everything together.
We would need more information in order to find what's going on. I'm personally running the extension in Sequoia 15.2 along with many others and haven't found any issue.
It's no secret that we have a HUGE number of icons, which in some cases can cause a slow down.
In my experience, I often get slowed down by file watcher.
Have a look at what Microsoft has to say about it.
@jaws777 Try using the files.watcherExclude vscode setting to exclude our icons folder and see if it makes any difference. Where is the extension folder?
